چکیده

An accurate nonlinear hygrothermal-electro-elastic (HTEE) buckling analysis of piezoelectric fiber-reinforced composite cylindrical shells subjected to the coupled loading effects axial compression and hydrostatic pressure was established by considering nonuniform prebuckling effect. Nonlinear governing equations were derived based on higher-order shear deformation theory Novozhilov’s shell theory. Accurate critical stresses pressures explicit modes for both axisymmetric nonaxisymmetric obtained Galerkin method. A comparison between new prediction existing results is presented excellent agreement reported. comprehensive parametric study geometric parameters, end conditions, distribution patterns, hygrothermal-electric multiphysical fields behavior HTEE also analyzed discussed.

Coupled Vibration of Partially Fluid-Filled Laminated Composite Cylindrical Shells

In this study, the free vibration of partially fluid-filled laminated composite circular cylindrical shell with arbitrary boundary conditions has been investigated by using Rayleigh-Ritz method. The analysis has been carried out with strain-displacement relations based on Love’s thin shell theory and the contained fluid is assumed irrotational, incompressible and inviscid. After determining the...

Buckling Analysis of Composite Lattice Cylindrical Shells with Ribs Defects

In this paper, the buckling behavior of a composite lattice cylindrical shell is studied and effects of rib defects on the distribution of stress field and buckling response of the shell is investigated. A three dimensional finite element buckling analysis of the lattice shell is carried out using ANSYS suit of program. Geometrical data and material properties of the shell are obtained from the...

Stress Analysis of Composite Cylindrical Shells with an Elliptical Cutout

A special-purpose, semi-analytical solution method for determining the stress and deformation fields in a thin laminated-composite cylindrical shell with an elliptical cutout is presented. The analysis includes the effects of cutout size, shape, and orientation; non-uniform wall thickness; oval-cross-section eccentricity; and loading conditions. The loading conditions include uniform tension, u...

Vibration analysis of functionally graded cylindrical shells with different boundary conditions subjected to thermal loads

In the present work, study of the vibration of a functionally graded (FG) cylindrical shell made up of stainless steel, zirconia, and nickel is presented. Free vibration analysis is presented for FG cylindrical shells with simply supported-simply supported and clamped–clamped boundary condition based on temperature independent material properties. The equations of motion are derived by Hamilton...
